Agrotechnological Centre "Slobozhanskyi"

Agrotechnological Centre "Slobozhanskyi" was set up on initiative of the Industrial Group UPEC

The Industrial Group UPEC initiated setting up of Agrotechnological Centre "Slobozhanskyi", an association of enterprises, organizations and research institutions of the Kharkov region, in order to consolidate efforts for the development and implementation of integral, innovation, easy-to-produce products for the agricultural industry. Presentation of the Agrotechcentre took place on 29 April, 2010 at the Industrial Group UPEC.

In the course of presentation “Memorandum on Cooperation” was signed, providing for joint work in the sphere of elaborating agrotechnologies, output of agricultural products, competent cultivation and improving fertility of soil.

According to President of IG UPEC Anatoliy Girshfeld, since agriculture is one of priority industries in Ukraine, the development of this direction is an opportunity to improve economic situation of our country and wellbeing of its citizens. Traditionally Kharkov has been a centre of agricultural machine-building and agrarian science. By establishing Agrotechcentre, we unite efforts of science and production for the development and implementation of innovation technologies of growing agricultural plants. We are creating an integrated centre with a complete cycle of up-to-date agrotechnologies, - he said.

Chief Designer of the Ukrainian Engineering Design Bureau of Transmissions and Chassis (incorporated in the IG UPEC) Aleksey Grinenko: "Target of Agrotechcentre is to unite resources of different enterprises and institutions in providing integrated service to farms. The customer ought to come to us and get a set of services: to visit a seminar on innovation technologies and new possibilities; to order investigation of his soil, to get consultation, to settle problems with used machinery, to buy fertilizers, new equipment... Such peculiar “clubs in interest” are being developed all over the world, this is useful and profitable to all participants".

According to President of Dokuchayev Kharkov National Agrarian University Vladimir Puzik «plans of the Agrotechcentre, in particular, provide for creating a joint information resource in order to promote developments of the Association participants, to arrange an exhibition complex on the base of Dokuchayev Kharkov National Agrarian University to present new specimens of agricultural machinery».
